The First Birthday Portrait Experience
A fun filled First Birthday session for your baby complete with balloons and cake!
We start the experience with classic First Birthday Portraits in your chosen birthday outfit. Following on we then play with balloons and finish up with your baby smashing their cake!
After baby has been cleaned up we will also include portraits in our baby sized roll top bath, complete with bubbles and rubber ducks (optional!).
You only get one First Birthday, and this is the perfect, fun-filled way to celebrate and capture the moment.

Relax! We know it is hard to do that as a mum, but trust me … we have everything under control to provide you and your little ones the most amazing time!

The photographer is so lovely, keeping in touch with phone calls and emails, and sent me a really helpful prep guide so I knew exactly what to expect. Once the big day arrives you are greeted at the door with a friendly smile and a personalised welcome sign (which I took a photo of!), so sweet!
She was patient and sweet with my daughter. It was a fantastic experience. We thoroughly enjoyed it, especially Daisy. The whole morning was brilliant and we were made to feel so at ease. The props and background were beautifully coordinated, everything you need for the perfect portrait session! Within a week of my session, my images were ready to see and choose my favourites to order. I loved so many photos that I upgraded my order.

Hello! We’re Helen & Tony Moore, and we’re based in the leafy town of Fleet, Hampshire.

Hello! I’m Helen, and when I’m not photographing clients, I do love a ‘chick-flick’ and Lady Marmalade (my beloved cat) curled up on my lap.
With any photoshoot involving children, many people’s the biggest fear is whether or not the children will “behave”, or if we’ll capture beautiful photographs.
Our philosophy around here is that the children know how to behave just fine – we just have to keep up!

Hello! I’m Tony, and I love cake and can’t resist a bit of chocolate!
As a dad of two girls, and now a grandad of four, there is nothing your kids will do that will surprise or shock me.
I’ll be assisting Helen during your experience with us.

We know you may have some questions! Here are the most frequently asked questions we hear from clients while booking their First Birthday Portraits!
How do we book our session and can we book on weekends?
Click on any of the blue buttons on this website and fill out the information form. Once you hit submit you can either pay for your session and reserve your session right away, or wait for us to call you within 24 business hours to chat with you and book on the phone.
Yes! We photograph on select weekends. These dates fill up fast! FYI some weekends in November & December are reserved for Christmas and Holiday themed sessions. If your baby’s birthday is around this time, you will need to book your session on a weekday.
My baby isn't One for a few months yet, is it too early to book?
Not at all! It’s never too early to reserve your date, especially if you want to have the beautiful portraits on display at their birthday party, and it’s a great idea to book your session early to ensure you secure the date you want.
Baby’s birthday may be a little way off yet, but we know you’ll be so busy in the lead up to their special birthday you might forget you wanted to do this! We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have and chat to you about how the First Birthday experience works. By reserving now you have the best chance of securing your Baby’s First Birthday Portraits session on the perfect day to suit you!
What Is The Best Time Of Day For My Baby?
Book your session time around naps! A sleepy or cranky baby does not enjoy their session. Please book your session time according to your baby’s nap time!
The morning or afternoon appointment times displayed on our booking page are entirely adaptable to accommodate your baby’s nap schedule and can be confirmed after booking, as we schedule a maximum of two first birthday experiences in a single day.
Do I Have To Bring The Cake?
No!! We know you are a busy mum and have lots to do! This is one way we can remove the stress from your day. When we chat on the phone to plan your session, we will discuss colours and themes, and then we will get your cake ordered from our local cake maker! Yes…. your baby will get to eat the most delicious freshly made cake! Don’t worry … we won’t judge if you sneak a taste or finish their cake after the session is over!
Does my baby have to be One already for this experience?
No!! You are not limited to a specific timeframe for this portrait experience. We understand that as busy parents, finding the perfect date can be challenging. Feel free to choose a date that aligns with your diaries and works best for both of you. It’s completely fine if the experience is booked a few weeks before or after your baby’s actual First Birthday. The important thing is that you can create cherished memories together of this precious birthday.
Is there an opportunity for us to be in a photograph too?
Yes, absolutely! It’s your celebration too, and a momentous occasion for you as parents. Including yourselves in a first birthday portrait photograph is an incredibly heartfelt opportunity. It allows you to capture and cherish the special moment together with your child and symbolises the love, joy and pride that you have experienced throughout this incredible journey of parenthood.

- The Portrait Experience Fee once booked is non-refundable.
- Viewing & Ordering Appointments are held at the studio on a separate day after the portrait experience.
- Photographs and/or products are not included in the session fee unless otherwise stated.
