Why we started our Wedding Photography Business
On a summer’s afternoon in 2012, I was sitting with my niece, then aged only 9 months. As she sat playing with her favourite cuddly toy, Eeyore, I too was playing – with my camera photographing her expressions, smiles, and laughter as she tried to catch the bubbles drifting by.
One of my favourites portrait photographs from that afternoon, is an enchanting image of her sat reaching for a bubble. At the time I had this printed and framed and gave it to her as 1stbirthday present. Isla is heading towards her 7thbirthday this year, and the framed portrait graces the wall in her family home.
It was that moment in the summer of 2012 I realised my love for portraying life’s moments, no matter how big or small through photographs, and that through careful planning this passion could be nurtured into a photography business, the core of which is providing people with heart-warming photographs for their homes.
From there I set about building a website, pondering over a business name, and designing a logo.
My husband Tony, is also a devoted photographer and we were keen that this was our joint business effort. Not only would this business provide people with happy memories captured in print for their homes, but also give us the opportunity to work together, and on something we both love. Moore & Moore Photography was born.
Since that time, we have spent many great days, weekends and even weeks, on workshops and trainings with some of the worlds acclaimed photographers, determined to continually improve our craft. All of this is an ongoing process and we will never stop learning.
And, there is the ‘why’ we got into the photography business.
Until next time,
