Wedding Photography FAQs
When planning an important occasion, it’s only natural for you to think of question upon question, especially for your Wedding Photography. With this in mind, we have collated a detailed list of queries that typically come our way, together with snippets of additional information that we hope you may find helpful for both wedding photos and portrait photography.
How do we make enquiries?
It couldn’t be easier – simply click here for details of our email, telephone number and postal address.
Where are you based?
Our Moore & Moore Photography studio is based in Fleet, Hampshire, yet we are happy to provide wedding photography and portrait photography work across all of Southern England, including the counties of Berkshire, Dorset, Oxfordshire, Surrey and London. We love to travel, and certainly never rule out voyaging even further afield – far from it. No matter your location, we’ll certainly do our best to accommodate any requests – please don’t hesitate to ask.
What do you shoot with?
We use professional level Canon cameras and Canon’s L Series lenses – only the best will do.
Do you offer wedding albums and family albums?
Of course. Our selection of luxury albums can be viewed on our Albums page, together with further details.
How do I view all available albums and products?
Simply contact us to set up a date and time that’s convenient to you. Alternatively, we also showcase at Wedding Fairs and hold Open Days at our studio.
Do you offer digital imagery and associated products?
Yes we do. In this modern age, we understand that you may want to view your beautiful portrait and wedding photos anywhere you are, not to mention share with the world via social media. For our wedding photos we offer a walnut & maple box with crystal flash drive, and for family portrait photography we offer a bamboo box with flash drive. Each represent a keepsake you will want to display, not hide away in a drawer.
Our photo-videos are extremely popular, providing a beautiful, contemporary way to view your wedding and portrait photographs, time after time.
What is your price range?
For Family Portrait Photography, our Session Fee is £95. For our portrait photography product range please view our Portraiture Collections page. Please be assured that you are under no obligation to purchase and we do not ask for a minimum order. If you would like further details on our Family Collections, please drop us a line.
~ We promise to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.
How many images will we receive?
We believe in quality over quantity, therefore once we have the final wedding photos and family portrait photographs in our studio, we will carefully curate a set for you.
For Family Collections that are inclusive of digital photographs, you will also receive an expertly edited selection.
At weddings, do you take family group or family formals shots?
If you would like to have them, we will happily take them. Beforehand, as part of the process, we will carefully discuss all of your photography requirements – this enables us to plan accordingly ahead of the day itself.
Is there is a distinctive style to your photography?
For every commission, our aim is to capture the essence of our clients, be it the bond of your entire family, sibling friendships or romantic relationship; the love, the laughter and every special moment in between.
How do we book a session?
You will find all our contact information on our Enquiries page. Either follow the links or email us directly, specifying your requirements and the date (or dates) that suit you. We’ll take a look at our calendar, then call you ASAP to make arrangements.
For weddings, please be aware that we ask for a £300 non-refundable booking fee in order to secure your date, with the balance being due one month prior to that date.
How do we pay?
For weddings, we ask for a £300 non-refundable booking fee, together with a signed contract. This secures your chosen date, providing reassurance to you that we will not sell it to anyone else. Your balance for the full amount is then due one month prior to that date. Payment can be via bank transfer.
For family portrait photography, we also request a signed contract, paired with a £95, non-refundable booking fee. This secures the date and time of your chosen session.
Do we get one or two photographers on the day?
All wedding collections include two photographers. This provides us with the ability to capture your wedding day from varying angles, which in turn ensures diversity in the final selection of photographs. If required, the second photographer also provides assistance with lighting set ups, particularly where our more creative sets are concerned. The onus is on creating a relaxed environment, thus encouraging more relaxed images.
A Family Portrait Photography Session tends to involve one photographer in a studio setting. If on location, however, our wedding rules apply and two will be on hand.
What coverage do you provide on our wedding day?
We provide up to 8-10 hours of coverage on the day itself; typically we begin with the bridal party and groom preparations, shooting all the way through to your first dance as husband and wife. If you need longer, we’re more than happy to discuss.
How long do you allow for the Bride and Groom portraits on the day?
Throughout our experience to date, we’ve learnt that every couple is different – therefore the answer to this question really depends on you. That’s why we maintain regular contact with clients in the lead up to their wedding. It’s vital that we discuss a timeline of your day; one that is designed to capture all those memories that you specifically wish to treasure. From our side, we do recommend at least one hour for your personal wedding portraits. This is not inclusive of family groups or bridal party group imagery.
Do you require food?
Whether we attend your wedding or follow your family on location, we always bring our own water and snacks to sustain us. We pride ourselves on looking after our clients, not the other way around.
How long is a Family Portrait Photography session?
Your family portrait photography session will generally last between one and two hours, but we aren’t clock watchers, therefore so we will happily continue for a little longer if required.
When can friends and family view our photos?
Once you have visited the studio and chosen your favourite images, we will then create a password protected website and viewing gallery, completely personal to you. At this point you will be able to share your selection with all your friends and family. If they wish to do so, they are able to order prints and products directly from this unique site.
Do you post photographs on Facebook?
The perfect follow-up to a beautiful wedding, we typically post a handful of wedding photos to Facebook – unless you ask us not to. These are small jpeg files that are always watermarked with our logo, and we encourage clients and guests alike to tag themselves in these images and ‘share’ via their own profiles.
What is copyright?
Copyright is about who owns the ‘material’. The copyright of the images created on your wedding day remains with Moore & Moore Photography. If digital negatives are included in your package, then we will supply you with a license that allows you to distribute and print these images for your own personal use. We will also provide you with a complimentary set of digital images. These are watermarked and can be used on social networking sites.
Are you insured?
We are fully insured with both Professional Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurances.
If I still have questions, what should I do?
We’re always happy to talk through any queries you may have – we’ve been doing this a long time, garnering helpful advice to offer and beautiful stories to share.
If you’d like yours to be next, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
